Medlife24 is the first health tourism platform to verify clinics through Turkey's official e-Invoice registry (GİB) — and the first to back patient reviews with a four-tier review system, including evidence packages that clinics cannot block. Here's exactly how it works, and where we are today.
THREE LAYERS OF VERIFICATION
Most platforms verify nothing. We verify three things.

Clinic identity
Every clinic is verified against Turkey's e-Invoice registry (GİB) — the same system every legal Turkish business must register with.
LAYER 2
Patient reviews
Patient reviews backed by clinic-issued codes, invoice verification, evidence packages — even when clinics refuse to cooperate. A four-tier system.
LAYER 3
Public transparency
Monthly reports showing verification statistics, rejected applications, and rejected reviews. No hiding.
LAYER 1 · CLINIC VERIFICATION
Every clinic, verified through Turkey's tax system.
Before any clinic appears on Medlife24, we verify them against the Turkish Revenue Administration's (GİB) public e-Invoice registry. No other health tourism platform performs this check.
VKN check.
Every clinic submits their VKN (Turkish tax identification number). We verify it against the GİB public e-Invoice registry. Unregistered businesses are rejected at application.
USHAŞ certificate.
Health tourism authorization from the Turkish Ministry of Health is required and verified against public records.
Business name match.
The legal business name registered with the tax authority must match the clinic name displayed on the platform.
Annual re-verification.
We re-verify every 12 months. If a clinic's tax status changes — lapsed, suspended, or revoked — their listing is suspended within 48 hours.

LAYER 2 · REVIEW VERIFICATION
Four ways to verify a review.
Other platforms display unverified reviews — and let clinics veto negative ones. Medlife24 backs every review with one of four verification tiers, including evidence-based reviews that no clinic can suppress.
When the review system launches, patients choose their tier based on what they can document. The higher the tier, the stronger the trust signal — visible directly on the clinic profile.
TIER 1
Mutual Verified ✓
You provide
A unique reference code generated by the clinic for your review, confirmed when your treatment is complete.
We verify
Both patient and clinic independently confirmed the treatment relationship.
Trust signal
Two-sided confirmation. Neither party can fabricate alone.
TIER 2
Standard Verified ✓✓
You provide
Invoice details: clinic VKN, invoice number, amount, date.
We verify
Admin manually checks the invoice against Turkey's GİB e-Archive system.
Trust signal
Documented financial transaction with the clinic.
TIER 3
Independent Verified ⚖️
You provide
Evidence package: at least two of — invoice, bank payment proof, message records, consultation notes — plus a legal attestation that all evidence is genuine.
We verify
Admin cross-references all evidence. The clinic cannot block this tier. Files are SHA-256 hashed against tampering.
Trust signal
Verified without the clinic's cooperation. For disputes, conflicts, or unresponsive clinics.
TIER 4

Everything from Tier 2 + a screenshot of the GİB invoice query result. Optionally: before/after photos with clinic consent.
We verify
Full cross-reference against Turkey's e-Archive system with original government screenshot.
Trust signal
Cryptographically verifiable, government-corroborated transaction.
Why we don't show reviews today.
Until the review system launches, Medlife24 does not display patient reviews. We made this choice deliberately: showing unverified reviews now and 'upgrading' them later would mean unverified reviews exist on the platform — and we don't want that. When reviews launch, every review will go through one of four verification tiers from day one.
LAYER 3 · PUBLIC TRANSPARENCY
Verification stats, published monthly.
Starting Q4 2026, Medlife24 will publish a transparency report at medlife24.com/transparency showing exactly how many clinics applied, how many were verified, how many were rejected — and the same numbers for reviews.
